The Perspectives Study Program will open your heart and mind to the way God has been dealing with the world since “in the beginning”.  Biblical and world history will be seen from God’s perspective as you discover His divine plan that has been unfolding throughout history and is now drawing to a close. Biblical themes and theology take on a whole new dimension and the course will radically challenge your Christianity.

What is involved?

The course is a 13-lesson study program divided into four sections: Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic. Each lesson involves 2 ½ hours of class attendance and between 3 & 4 hours of ‘homework’. Class time involves  discussion, videos, visiting speakers, teaching segments and prayer for unreached peoples. Somewhere in all this is a coffee break! The emphasis of the Study Program is not academic.The whole point is to catch God’s heartbeat for the world and your place in His plan. However, a number of Bible Schools do offer credit for graduates of the program.

What will the Course do to me?

We would be remiss if we didn’t warn you that this is a dangerous course to do. This course could be detrimental to your preconceived ideas, your comfort zones, and even your career pathway. Do not enrol unless you are prepared to have your life turned upside down, your attitudes challenged, and your commitment to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom put on the line.

This life-changing worldview that you will develop as the course proceeds doesn’t happen overnight. Like most things God does, it’s a process. The change comes as you allow Him to speak to you through time in personal study, discussion and prayer with others on the course; being challenged by global facts and figures; and by prayer for people who have not yet heard the great news of the Saviour Jesus.

How is it Different from Other Courses?

As you have guessed by now, the Study Program will challenge you to look beyond yourself and your world to discover the global reality! The main thrust of the course can be summed up in; "we are blessed to be a blessing to the nations.” The amazing thing is that God has a spot for each of us in His plan for the peoples of this planet. You will get a sense of divine fulfilment that no  ‘self-help seminar’ could ever give. An enthusiastic fan of the program went as far as to describe it as “being born again, again!”

What Happens Afterwards?

Getting you to go overseas is not the primary motivation of the course. Sure, some may be called to Go cross-culturally to share the Gospel. Others will find their role is to Actively Send workers and provide strategic support from home. Some may feel led to be Equippers and Mobilisers. Still others may take on the strategic role of Welcoming, befriending and sharing with non-Christian internationals that God is bringing to these shores. We all have a destined part to play in God’s Great Global Plan.
