A correspondence
course is offered on a limited basis, mainly in those areas where courses are not being
run at present. The reasoning for this limited availability is that it is far better to do
Perspectives with others in a classroom situation; you will pick pu more by interacting
with the other students, plus have the opportunity to hear visiting speakers. However, it is possible to do Perspectives by correspondence. You would receive the Reader and the Study Guide along with a CDROM containing extra lesson material presented in PowerPoint. You would also receive photocopies of handouts, video notes and statistics, as well as videos and books relevant to the lesson you are studying from the PSPNZ library. Completed homework will be sent into the PSPNZ office for marking (via email or standard mail), along with the books and videos you have finished with. The marked homework is returned to you along with appropriate comments. Dialogue with your supervisor is encouraged with regard to discussion questions and problems you may be experiencing. If you are interested in this version of the course, feel free to contact us with your interest. |
